This is my first read of this substack, and am I ever impressed, Should our western leaders be like Madam President.

Transnistria worries me. I doubt 1 out of 1,000,000 Americans know of it, but it is a Putin thorn in the side of Ukraine and an infection in Europe.

Just as worrisome is the Suwalki gap, that plain used for invastion by everyone, that is now the bordere between Poland and Lithuania, which separates Russias Kaliningrad, a warm water port on the Baltic, from Belarus, in reality a satrap of Russia..

Stratetic analysis says that Russian possession of the Suwalki Gap is of the highest importance, and that means an invasion of Lithuania, and thus Poland.

The only way to transport commerce overland from Kaliningrad is via rail, through NATO countries. Civilians can transit via road.

A series of restrictions on transit through Lithuania between the Russian semi-exclave of Kaliningrad Oblast and mainland Russia were implemented during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The restrictions extended only to sanctioned goods and began on 18 June 2022.

This has to hurt
