I am with The Salvation Army in Eastern Europe. The Salvation Army is active supporting Ukrainian refugees in many towns across Moldova including Chisinau. They are providing accommodation, food, personal items etc. If you contact Major Andrei Iniutochkin on +37376704016 I am sure we can help. He speaks good English. Tell him I told you to call.
Hi Kevin! Yes I'm in touch with the Salvation Army and I'm well aware of the great work that your organization is doing with a footprint in around 16 communities across Moldova!
With smaller organizations I can't highlight here everyone who is making a huge impact. But I try to convey in the articles the fact that an absolutely massive impact is being made by grassroots groups in Moldova day to day. Some are entirely local NGOs and churches but many are international affiliates with a local team. This is entirely what is meeting the needs day to day. The problem is that this crisis is far too big for even all of these groups taken together and international relief organizations are needed with tents, food, money and key items. I don't want to take away from the work anyone is doing - on the contrary I want to report it as utterly heroic. But more is needed.
